GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - A Biloxi woman has admitted to filing a false claim for assistance from FEMA following Hurricane Katrina.

U.S. Attorney Stan Harris said Krystal Williams claimed a house on Oak Street in Biloxi, in which another family lived at the time of Hurricane Katrina. As a result of the false claim, Williams received $24,171.96 in government benefits.

Friday, she admitted that she did not live at the address she claimed. Williams will be sentenced in January 2010.
