LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) - What started as a routine traffic stop ended up in a drug bust of hundreds of illegal prescription drugs.

Around 11am Sunday morning, Long Beach police pulled over an SUV on Highway 90 near the Pass Christian line. Officers say after a search, they confiscated 208 Loratabs. Narcotics detectives say it's a felony to have more than 100 of the pills.

Long Beach police say the driver, 36-year-old Freddie Martin of Pass Christian, is charged with possession of a controlled substance.
