PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX ) - A waterspout just off the beach had folks in Pass Christian snapping pictures and video Friday morning. It appeared just after 9am.

Joseph Cutshall captured video of the waterspout, which you can see in the video player to the right. Several other viewers shared pictures.

Lana Lacoste, the librarian at Pass Christian Middle School, said the waterspout was easy to see from the front of the new school. Her picture was taken several minutes after the waterspout was first spotted.

"After getting students to safe areas without windows, some teachers and I discussed that I had missed a great photo opportunity," Lacoste wrote to WLOX. "As I walked out with my camera, I was surprised to see the waterspout was still there, but not as intense as before."

Lacoste said the waterspout disintegrated a few minutes later.

"The photographer in me wishes that I had taken a picture of it when I first saw it, but the mother in me thought of only getting my students to safety," Lacoste said.

If you have a video of picture of Friday's waterspout, we want to see it. Upload it to www.MyWLOX.com.
