BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Biloxi Police now believe they know who robbed the Wachovia Bank at Pass Road and Eisenhower Drive Thursday morning.

Thursday evening, police released a picture of Jefferson Kontur (aka Kontour), who is also wanted for a robbery in New Orleans in November 2008.

The Biloxi robbery took place just before 10am when a man handed the teller a note demanding $3,000. He told the teller he had a gun, but never showed it. The robber got away in a small tan vehicle, which was later found in the Edgewater Mall parking garage. Officers ran the tag and discovered it was stolen out of Gretna, Louisiana.

Investigators said the trail of clues led them to "positively identify" their bank robbery suspect as Kontur. The Louisiana man is between 5'8" and 5'10" and 150 pounds.

If you have any information on the Jefferson Kontur's whereabouts, call the Biloxi Police Department at (228) 392-0641.
