HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - In 1999, Heidi Dedeaux began making handcrafted specialty soap. She met Kathy Kosturock a few years later and the two women started a business called Silver Run Bath Company. Today, Silver Run makes organic foaming soap and a variety of lotions, oils and skin creams.

Silver Run prides itself in being environmentally friendly when making their products.

"We care about the life cycle of the product from start to finish," Dedeaux said as she mixed coconut oil in a huge vat.

Silver Run relies on word of mouth and the internet to reach consumers and has loyal customers all across North America. Kosturock said their secret to success is based on a basic principle, "integrity and passion."

Dedeaux and Kosturock mix and package their products in what they call the "soap kitchen" behind Dedeaux's Harrison County home. But the two women have big plans for the future.

"We'll be global and hire more employees within the next few years," a confident Heidi Dedeaux said.
