NEW ORLEANS, LA (WLOX) - Northrop Grumman delivered the USS New York to the Navy at a ceremony Friday at Avondale Shipyard in New Orleans.

The New York completed sea trials last month. It's one of three ships built to honor victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Part of the ship is built with steel from the World Trade Center.

Two more ships, the Arlington and the Somerset, are also named in honor of the victims of the terrorist attacks. Those ships are made from materials found at the Pentagon and from the location where Flight 93 crashed.
