MOSS POINT, MS (WLOX) - Weapons authorities believe were used in the murders of a Pensacola couple ended up in Moss Point after the crime. That information came out Monday when Florida authorities released a list of evidence against the seven people accused in the murders of Byrd and Melanie Billings.
The couple was killed July 9th in their Pensacola home. The Billings were well known in the area for adopting special needs children.
Escambia County Sheriff's Department told WLOX News the weapons were surrendered by Moss Point man who had received them sometime after the murders. The weapons collected in Moss Point include a half dozen shotguns and long guns along with ammunition, scopes and other gun accessories.
Escambia County officials told WLOX News the Moss Point man who had the weapons is not considered a suspect in the murders.
