JACKSON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - A series of accidents on Interstate 10 in Jackson County tied up traffic for miles Friday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol told WLOX News that four separate accidents happened near the 56 mile marker in the eastbound lanes. The Highway Patrol said rain in the area likely contributed to the accidents.
Motorists called the WLOX Newsroom with reports of traffic backed up to the Ocean Springs exit.
At 6pm, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said the accidents were just about cleared, so traffic should return to normal soon.
