Pascagoula Police search for clues to weekend robberies

By WLOX Staff

PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - Pascagoula police are searching for three criminals after a weekend of unrelated robberies.

Police told WLOX News that the first robbery took place Friday night at 3 G's convenience store. The wanted individual stole a woman's wallet after she stopped to ask for directions to Singing River Hospital.

A second person was assaulted and robbed after giving their attacker a ride from D'Iberville to Pascagoula early Saturday morning.

The third incident happened early Monday morning in front of a Pascagoula grocery store, when someone attacked a woman and stole her purse.

Officials are surprised to have so much criminal activity in one weekend in Pascagoula.

"We generally have a lot of people on the streets, checking at these convenience stores. That's just how we handle it. These three incidents are unrelated and just occurred between a vivid police presence," Lieutenant Davy Davis said.

Anyone with information on the robberies, or the whereabouts of the attackers, is asked to call the Pascagoula Police Department at (228) 762-2211.
