GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - Two employees of a Gulfport massage parlor the city wants shut down are facing charges of violating city ordinances.  On Friday police say an undercover officer went to Osaka Spa on 25th Avenue in Gulfport posing as a customer.

Officers say 54-year-old Kwi Sun Hood is accused of giving a massage in a concealed room and making contact with parts of the body not permitted by law. Hood and her co-worker, 65- year-old Chin Ki Richardson, are charged with multiple misdemeanor counts of violating the city's massage parlor ordinance.

Gulfport police say neither Hood nor Richardson are licensed to give massages. Both women were released after posting bonds of $3,033.

On Thursday, Gulfport filed a lawsuit in chancery court asking a judge to close Osaka Spa on 25th Avenue as a public nuisance. Police Chief Alan Weatherford says the city wants it shut down because the business is a front for prostitution. Weatherford says the spa has at least 30 days to respond to the complaint before the judge makes his ruling.
