PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - The Pascagoula Police Department's canine unit sniffed out a wanted man Sunday night. Late that night, a woman called the department and said a man was beating on her front door claiming he was with the police.
The man threatened her with a large butcher knife, then assaulted her. Officers used a canine named "Rambo" to track down the wanted man.
The dog led police to a home on Jackson Avenue where they found Robert English, 21, hiding in the attic. Police also found items they believe belong to the victim.
English is charged with one count of burglary, two counts of sexual battery, one count of aggravated assault, and one count of kidnapping.
The suspect's mother, Tonia Smith, and her boyfriend, Mitchell Nichols, are each charged with one count of accessory after the fact.
