BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - South Mississippi's beautiful rivers, bays, bayous and barrier islands are things that make this such a wonderful place to live. The emerging eco-tourism industry puts the spotlight on coastal Mississippi's natural resources.

A company called Da Beach House is offering kayak tours of waterways from Pascagoula to Pearlington. Todd Read runs the tours and one of his favorite place to take tourists is Deer Island.

"It's such a sweet little island," Read said as he paddled a kayak out to the island.

Da Beach House offers single and tandem kayaks. They also provide guided tours or let people go out and explore on their own.

"I love it when people go out on the water to play and go home with such good memories," Read said.

Da Beach House has a kiosk at Edgewater Mall in Biloxi, and information is available on their website, www.dabeachhouse.com.
