Sugar Bowl Fans Spend Time And Money On Mississippi Coast

The big game is Wednesday night in New Orleans. But many Sugar Bowl fans are doing their pre-game celebrating on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Anyone driving Highway 90 has probably seen the tags and flags from Georgia and Florida State fans.

Many fans are spending their time and money on the coast.

"Get a shot of me winning this Royal Flush," said Bulldogs fan,  Gary Hay, as he put more money into a video poker machine at Casino Magic Biloxi.

We found Hay and his group of Georgia fans enjoying themselves in Biloxi.

"This is the best casino here in Biloxi at the Magic. I'm having a great time," said Hay.

Levon Kitchens was looking forward to the game while enjoying his pre game celebrating on the Mississippi coast.

"I've been to every game this year except for Auburn. We're going to beat Florida State, hopefully by two touchdowns. I'm going to give them fourteen," he said confidently.

"I'm from Dalton, Georgia. I've been a Bulldog fan all my life," said Bridgette Hay.

She too predicts a Big Red victory.

But Annette Phillips says, don't bet on it. The Florida State fan is confident her Seminoles will whip the dogs on New Year's Day.

"We're staying at Casino Magic. And we're going to have the New Year's tonight and we're going to whip butt tomorrow night. Go Seminoles," she shouted.

Georgia flags waved in the parking lot of the Main Street McDonald's. That's where we found a group of bulldogs sharing memories about a big night in Biloxi.

"We had a big time at Beau Rivage.  Until we lost all the money," said Chris David.

His group giggled as they recounted their late night fun at the Biloxi casino.

"Oh yeah. It was a lot of fun," exclaimed Leroy Martin.

Georgia and Florida State meet on the football field Wednesday night at seven thirty.  The Sugar Bowl will be played at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans.
