BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - The parade of custom vehicles started Saturday morning into the Coast Coliseum and didn't let up.

"We were filled to capacity by 12:30; we couldn't get anybody else in here," organizer Eric Kendrick said.

Low-riders, street rods and imports were just some of the custom vehicles expected to cruise the Coliseum and Highway 90 in Biloxi. Organizers planned for more than 3,000 vehicles.

"You got so many different rides from old school to new schools, so it's legit," said Cole Walden of Pensacola.

Some of the custom rides on show have been spared no expense.

"Some of the Best of Show cars last year, I mean, some of them easily had $100,000 on them," Kendrick said.

Everything about the cars, even the license plates, made a statement.  Showcasing a green and yellow Dodge Magnum with butterfly doors, Shawn Johnson's license plate read "Get Like Me."

"There are some that are getting like me.  They're are a few, but not many," Johnson said.

There were also drag races at the Gulfport Dragway all day Saturday, and even more events on Sunday.
