PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - The Pascagoula Police Department is cracking down on minors who drink alcohol and the people who sell it to them.

Saturday, authorities answered a call about a reckless driver on the south end of Chicot Street. Officers arrested an 18-year-old for DUI and possession of alcohol by a minor.

The driver said he bought the alcohol from the Metro Serve on Old Mobile Highway, and did so on a regular basis.

Sunday, Pascagoula Police sent an 18-year-old informant into the Metro Serve. When the teen was allowed to purchase alcohol, officers arrested 66-year-old Vanderson Chao.

Chao is charged with selling alcohol to a minor, and petit larceny because police say he short-changed the informant. Chao was released on a $980 bond.
