Bay St. Louis mayor's race could be a do-over

BAY ST. LOUIS, MS (WLOX) - The mayor's race in Bay St. Louis may not be over yet. Attorneys for Democrats Mike Weems and Les Fillingame returned to city hall Thursday to continue a review of the May 19th run-off election.

Fillingame beat Republican Lisa Cowand and Independent Tad Black in Tuesday's general election. But Weems filed a request to review the ballot materials. He wanted to make sure there were no voting irregularities that might have caused him to lose the run-off, and push him out of the general election.

If irregularities are found, Weems could challenge the runoff results, which could lead to a new runoff between Weems and Fillingame, and another general election.
