JACKSON, MS (WLOX) - It's getting easier for you to keep up with the decisions that impact your monthly utility bills.

Beginning Tuesday, June 2, at 10am the Public Service Commission will broadcast its monthly hearing online. The commission meets every month, usually on the first Tuesday.

The proceeding can be viewed via the Public Service Commission's web site at Just click on the "Multimedia" link near the top of the page.

"Having the proceedings of this Commission available online will mean that ratepayers will be able to easily access the proceeding when they aren't able to attend our public meetings in person," Public Service Commissioner Leonard Bentz said.

"What is also important is that the public will be able to better understand the workings of the Commission and how we work on important issues that can affect rate-payers."

The Public Service Commission regulates telecommunications, electric, gas, water, and sewer utilities, as well as the state's No-Call List. The commission also answers complaints, conducts investigations and holds both formal and informal hearings.
