OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - Four members of a Jackson County family are in jail for allegedly raping or abusing an 18-month-old child.

James Hill, Jr., 20, is charged with Sexual Battery. His father, James Hill, Sr., 38, Pamela Hill, 36, and the child's mother, Tasha Hill, 18, are all charged with felony child abuse.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd said the alleged rape took place on the night of April 30, 2009. Deputies were alerted after the child received medical attention.

All four lived in the same home with the child on Old Fort Bayou Road in Ocean Springs.

The Hill family is currently being held in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center pending an initial appearance in county court.
