OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - Two brothers are charged with aggravated domestic assault after police say they were trying to force their father into the trunk of a car at gunpoint.

Royce Lamar Fairley, 18, of Lucedale, and Thomas Lemark Fairley, 27, of Pascagoula were arrested by Ocean Springs police Monday around 9am in the parking lot of Ocean Springs Hospital. When police arrived, the two men were being held at gunpoint by the hospital's security guards.

Witnesses told police the Fairley brothers appeared to be trying to force another man into the trunk of a car at gunpoint. That man was later identified as their father, Steverson Fairley, 51, of Lucedale.

Police say Monday's confrontation was part of a long running domestic dispute. On April 5, Steverson Fairley allegedly shot and wounded his estranged wife Gloria Fairley. Steverson Fairley was also wounded during the incident. The George County Sheriff's Office is investigating that incident.

Royce and Thomas Fairley are being held at the Ocean Springs Municipal Jail awaiting an initial appearance. A bond will be set at that time.

Anyone with any information concerning this incident is asked to contact Detective Lott at the Ocean Springs Police Department at (228) 875-2211.
