HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Dozens of teams went for bragging rights as the best barbecue chefs on the coast. About 25 teams took park in the 21st Annual Barbecue Under the Oaks in Harrison County.

People went to savor the ribs, sausage, oysters and even piranha. The event is the main fundraiser for the Gulf Coast Symphony.

"This means so much to the symphony because ticket prices only cover a small portion of what it costs. Each concert costs between $25,000 and $35,000," said Chairperson Ginny Hermetz. "Plus we do two outdoor concerts Memorial Day, and those are free to the public. We do four children's concerts in February. The youth orchestra plays at different venues also so this is very, very important to us."

The event was held at Oak Lawn. Organizers gave away several raffle prizes including a trip for two to San Francisco.
