PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) - The severe weather that swept through south Mississippi Thursday morning caused some major damage to the athletic complex behind Pascagoula High School.
A spokesperson for the Pascagoula School District tells WLOX News the baseball field scoreboard is destroyed, several stadium lights are turned around and portions of the fence that surrounds the field are down. Debris is scattered across the complex, and a dumpster was even turned over.
Debbie Anglin with the school district says she believes the damage may have been caused by a possible tornado sometime before 7am.
WLOX's Jackson County Reporter Patrice Clark is on the scene, and will show us the damage later today on WLOX News and WLOX.com.
