Wiggins man dies from stabbing

WIGGINS, MS (WLOX) - A Wiggins man was stabbed to death early this morning. A 911 call about 5:30am brought Wiggins police to the 500 block of Iowa Street.

That's where they found 31-year-old Hernandez Breland on the side of the road with several stab wounds to his face, neck and shoulder.

Stone County Deputy Coroner Wayne Flurry told WLOX News an autopsy will be performed Monday.

Flurry said Breland is a Wiggins native who had been living in Jackson.

Wiggins police tell us one person is in custody, but did not release a name or whether that person has been charged in Breland's death.
