GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - A Gulfport man died late Thursday night in a boating accident just off the Industrial Seaway Canal near U.S. Marine.

Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove said around 9:20pm, a boat hit a docked barge sending both passengers overboard. Only one person was rescued.

Two hours after the accident, divers found the body of Raymond Schankin, 45. An autopsy will be conducted Friday.
