ALBANY, LA (WAFB) - A Livingston Parish mother is facing charges of exposing her two-month-old son to drugs.

According to reports, when agents entered the mobile home on George White Road, they found Colleen Anne Poche, 29, sitting on a couch with 200 Hydrocodone pills on an ottoman in front of her and her infant son next to the ottoman. Two more bags of pills and a razor blade were found in the baby's bassinet.

Poche was taken into custody and charged with possession with intent to distribute schedule II CDS, intent to distribute schedule IV CDS and illegal use of a CDS in the presence of a person under 17 years of age. Her bond was set at $100,500.

Authorities believe the father of the two-month-old, Ronald H. Carter, Jr., 38, and an accomplice, David Holden, 31, burglarized a local pharmacy on Dec. 28, then brought the drugs to their home and began selling them.

Carter has been charged with one count of burglary of a pharmacy.  He is currently being held in Amite City Jail on similar charges.

The Livingston Parish Sheriff's Department says 789 Hydrocodone pills, 900 Klonapin pills and ½ dosage units of Viagra were found in the home.  Agents confirmed the pills and commercial pill containers were taken during the late December burglary of Johns Pharmacy in Albany.

Holden was arrested Wednesday and charged with burglary of a pharmacy and three counts of outstanding traffic ticket warrants.

The Office of Community Services took custody of the child.

At 7:30 Wednesday morning, Ocean Springs city workers stepped up to the city hall flag pole. They hooked Mississippi's state flag underneath the American flag, and they raised both flags over the city hall grounds. And just like that, five days of debate over whether the state flag should fly in Ocean Springs temporarily came to an end.
