    Good news this week on tourism for the Mississippi Gulf Coast. 2016 saw an 8% increase in overall visitation over 2015. We are glad to see the growth.

    The Mississippi Economic Council says 2,300 bridges are restricted from carrying the legal weight for which they were designed. And just last week, one state legislator announced recent safety inspections will result in the closure of 100 bridges.

    Mississippi lawmakers once again find themselves in a difficult position. They have to vote on a bill to make it a little easier to get a divorce. Clearly this is a sticky issue. Our elected officials don't want to be seen as; anti-marriage or pro-divorce. But the state is already in the legal marriage and legal divorce business, like it or not.
