    Our state is hoping to capitalize on President Donald Trump's promise to improve infrastructure asking for seven billion dollars for four big highway projects. Three of them are in South Mississippi and could certainly help with economic growth.   The biggest project would be a new limited access highway from the coast to the capital.  Another project would widen I10 to six lanes from Vancleave to the Alabama line.  A third project would be a new thoroughfare bet...

    The business of forfeiture of drug money and property to police agencies just got a little more transparent to the public and we view that as a good thing. The Mississippi state legislature is now requiring the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics to maintain a public website that tracks all such forfeitures taken through civil court proceedings.
