    Carrie's 10 PM First Alert Forecast

    There is a Flash Flood Watch in effect for South Mississippi through 7 PM Tuesday. The areas who received so much rainfall will have the highest threat because any additional rainfall would likely cause flash flooding. Tonight our rain chances will be low with a few passing showers. Tuesday, rain chances ramp back up to 50%. Expect an additional 1"-3" inches of rain possible through Tuesday evening. Temperatures for Tuesday will be in the 80s.

    Twenty-five years ago, the Marine Mammal Protection act was amended to formally name NOAA's National Marine Fisheries service the lead agency in dealing with stranded marine mammals including dolphins. The agency has a lot of programs that promote the safety of all marine mammals which are protected species. But recent action, or lack of action by the federal agency led to the death of a dolphin.
