Danae Leake

Danae hails from Jacksonville, located in the world's famous county (Duuuval), and moved to Baton Rouge to work as a digital content producer for WAFB.

As a child, Danae always had a love for the world of words and storytelling that empowers. While studying English and Mass Communication at the University of North Florida, she was very active in the university's student media, and worked her way up to Features Editor. In addition, Danae interned for WJCT, the National Public Radio affiliate in Jacksonville, and Jacksonville Magazine.

In 2016, she landed a position as a Digital Content Producer at Action News Jax, WJAX-TV, covering local breaking news and managing the station's website and social media pages.

After wanting a change of pace and atmosphere, Danae moved to Baton Rouge in May to work as a digital news reporter. In addition, she manages and produces content for the site’s inaugural business section.
