NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A federal agency looking into the 2010 Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion says it plans to release two volumes of a four-volume report on the disaster on June 5. The Chemical Safety Board said in a news release yesterday that the focus of its investigation is to prevent such accidents in the future.

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - A federal inmate who pleaded guilty to attacking a prison guard at the U.S. Penitentiary in Pollock has been sentenced to another 16½ years and three years of supervised release for the assault. The sentence was handed down yesterday against 57-year-old Michael Bourque, who is also serving a 44-year term for charges related to a 2002 bank robbery.

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Funeral services are scheduled next week for East Baton Rouge Parish School Board member Randy Lamana, who collapsed as he walked to his car at the Capitol after a legislative hearing on restructuring the school system. He was 57.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Tickets to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival will be available starting Monday at the Superdome's box office. Advanced single-day tickets cost $55. Beginning April 25, first weekend tickets are $70. Children's tickets are $5 and available at the gate only.
