Residents report rare snow flurries in South Mississippi

HARRISON COUNTY, MS (WLOX) -

HARRISON COUNTY (WLOX) – While South Mississippi didn't see a white Christmas, many residents are reporting a few snow flurries the day after.

A hard freeze warning is in effect for many areas tonight, and some are residents in North Harrison County say they are seeing a few sporadic snowfalls early Sunday morning.

The WLOX Weather Center is reporting that a cold front coming through the area is bringing strong winds.  There is also a Gale Warning for today as winds could be gusting into the mid to upper 30 mph range. 

There is a predicted high temperature today around 44 degrees.
