NEW YORK, NY (WLOX) - The Ole Miss Rebels (24-11) had a chance to tie the game with 20 seconds remaining but Trevor Gaskins missed a lay up, the Flyers grabbed the rebound and the Rebels were forced to foul.

Chris Johnson led the Flyers (24-12) with 22 points.  He added key free throws late in the game as Dayton held off Ole Miss.

Terrico White led Ole Miss with 19 points.  For the second time in three seasons the Rebels are eliminated in the NIT semifinals at Madison Square Garden.  Ohio State beat Ole Miss in 2008.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, the former Ole Miss standout, watched Murphy Holloway miss a chance to tie the game at 64 with 35.8 seconds left.  Holloway missed the second of two free throws and failed to score again.
