HANCOCK COUNTY, MS (WLOX) - Several schools and facilities in Hancock County have reported early closures for Monday, Nov. 9th in advance of Hurricane Ida.
The Hancock County School District has announced a 60% day for Monday, Nov. 9th. Assistant Superintendent Donny Goldstein said schools will be released at the following times tomorrow.
Pearl River Community College's Hancock County Campus in Waveland has canceled classes after 1pm. Officials said they will make an announcement Monday on Tuesday's classes.
The Hancock County Child Development Center and the Hancock County Senior Center are both set to close at noon Monday. They are both located in Bay St. Louis.
At this time, these are the only school schedule chances that have been reported to WLOX.
