GULFPORT, MS (WLOX) - A Gulfport family is mourning the loss of a four-year-old child. The fatal accident happened over the weekend on Mark West Road. Harrison County Sheriff's deputies say Caleb Hickman fell from a bulldozer.
Deputies say the child's grandfather, Leo Hickman, was driving the bulldozer. Hickman told investigators he tried to retrieve Caleb and pull him back in the cab, but instead, Caleb was pulled underneath the bulldozer.
Officials say Caleb suffered chest trauma from the accident and died at USA Medical Center in Mobile.
