2 Fort Deposit officers arrested

FORT DEPOSIT, Ala. (AP) - Two Fort Deposit police officers are facing a robbery charge after allegedly robbing a man they stopped on Interstate 65.

Butler County Sheriff Kenny Hardin said Thursday that Tyson Bennett and 22-year-old Jesse Fuller were arrested for allegedly robbing the man of an undisclosed amount of money after pulling him over at the county line north of Greenville about 12 a.m. June 30.

Hardin said Fuller was arrested at a Greenville restaurant about 6:40 p.m. Wednesday and is being held at the county jail under no bond.

Bennett is being held at the Lowndes County Jail under no bond. A message left with Fuller's lawyer, Charlotte Tesmer, was not immediately return Thursday. It was not clear if Bennett had a lawyer Thursday.
