LONG BEACH, MS (WLOX) - A former Pass Christian choir and Band teacher has been arrested on several sex related charges.
Joseph Eugene Council, 32, is charged with one felony count of Computer Luring of Persons Under 18 for Sexual Purposes. He's also charged with one felony count of Possession of Child Pornography, and another felony count of Enticing a Child to Produce a Visual Depiction of Sexual Conduct.
Council was a teacher at Pass Christian Middle School and Pass Christian High School. His victim was a 14-year-old girl, also a former student of his.
Police officers transported Council to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. His bond is set at $75,000, pending further court action.
