ABERDEEN, Miss. (AP) - Tracey Lee Fields, a former Aberdeen police officer, has been ordered to report to prison in West Virginia for his role in a theft ring at Holley Performance.
Fields was sentenced to eight months in prison. He was ordered this past week to report to a federal prison in Beaver, W.Va., on or before July 13.
He was indicted along with Roy Hazzle Jr. and Javan Shumpert in connection with the theft ring, which authorities broke up in October.
Fields and Hazzle pleaded guilty to one count each of conspiracy to transfer stolen goods in interstate commerce and agreed to testify against Shumpert.
Although he was once employed by the Aberdeen Police Department, Fields was no longer with the force when he was arrested.
