AIKEN, S.C. (AP) - An Alabama woman, her 4-year-old son and three relatives from South Carolina have been killed in a three-car crash.
Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said Tuesday that the five died of trauma after the wreck on a road near state Highway 302.
Those killed in the Monday night crash include: 4-year-old Zachary Taylor and his mother 26-year-old Crystal Lyell, both of Heflin, Ala.; 40-year-old Michael Lott and his son 17-year-old Joshua Lott, both of Aiken and 33-year-old Mark Daniels of Windsor.
Carlton says the woman crossed the centerline and struck a pickup truck hauling a tractor. The car spun and was struck by another vehicle.
At least two other people were taken to an Augusta, Ga., hospital.
