CAMPTI, La. (AP) - A 36-year-old Ruston man died after the car he was driving ran off the road into an embankment.
State police say Roymons V. Malcolm was not wearing a seat belt Thursday when he was ejected from the car near Campti.
Troopers say Malcolm was driving westbound at a high rate of speed on La. Highway 486 south of Campti when he was unable to negotiate a curve to the left and exited the right side of the road. The car traveled down a ditch embankment and began overturning.
Malcolm was pronounced dead on the scene.
