Increasing clouds Wednesday, Storms Thursday

Tonight will be mild, even cool in the interior parts of South Mississippi. We are going to see increasing humidity and clouds through the day on Wednesday. Lows will be in the 50s inland and 60s along the coast.

Thursday, a strong cold front will approach the area bringing the threat for severe weather with and ahead of it. We expect heavy rain which could lead to flash flooding, gusty winds and isolated tornadoes. Thursday is a day to be weather aware and make sure your WLOX Weather App notifications are turned ‘on’.

Once the front passes early Friday morning, the weather looks fantastic behind it. There will be cool mornings and warm afternoons for Easter weekend.
