PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) - Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove confirmed the identity and cause of death for the body spotted floating in the Pass Christian Harbor Friday. Hargrove identified the man as 62-year-old Jerry Michael Henderson of Pass Christian.

Henderson was reported as a missing person earlier in the week.

Deputy Chief Darren Freeman with the Pass Christian Police Department said the body was discovered around 2:30 p.m. Friday. The Department of Marine Resources was dispatched to recover the body.

Henderson was last seen in the vicinity of Shaggy’s on January 28. Missing-person flyers were put up around the harbor.

His death was ruled as an accidental drowning.
