Dense fog again tonight

There is a Dense Fog Advisory tonight for the three coastal counties until 9 AM. We are expecting patchy dense fog in the interior counties, as well. The fog will move out once the showers and possible storms move into the area.

Those showers and thunderstorms are expected in the morning hours as a cold front will be approaching South Mississippi. The heavier rain will move through the area between 7 AM and 11 AM. We don’t expect the temps to drop until the actual front moves through in the afternoon. We will see some more showers with the frontal passage. The colder air will filter in Tuesday night into Wednesday morning behind the front and once the skies clear.

Wednesday will be seasonable and cool with highs in the low 60s with plenty of sunshine. High pressure will be controlling our weather through Wednesday. That high pressure will slide east for Thursday allowing the cloud cover and warmer, more humid air return.

Valentine’s Day will hold a chance for isolated showers with cloudy skies and highs in the mid 60s.
