Four arrested for rash of Vancleave burglaries
Four people have now been arrested in connection with a rash of burglaries in Vancleave.

VANCLEAVE, MS (WLOX) - Four people have now been arrested in connection with a rash of burglaries in Vancleave.

Brothers, Mike and Mark Bennett, both 58, were arrested Wednesday by the George County Sheriff's Department and charged with two counts of residential burglary, and two counts of commercial burglary.

Investigators believe the brothers stole from the same victim on two separate occasions - October 26, 2018 and January 7, 2019. Luckily, the stolen items have been recovered.

Two women are now also charged with those same crimes. Larissa Boyce and Janet Goff are both from Vancleave. Goff is also charged with misdemeanor uttering forgery for allegedly cashing the victim’s checks at a Vancleave bank.

All four people charged are being held on a $150,000 bond.

Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said his investigators are still looking in to 13 other auto, commercial, and residential burglaries that have taken place in the Vancleave area since December 1.
