BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Steven Wilson Mandeville, 61, has been charged with tampering with physical evidence and felony motor vehicle taking in connection with the investigation into a body that was dumped on Seaman Road in Vancleave.
Biloxi police identified the victim as 55-year-old Harold Douglas Tuberville Jr. of Pensacola, FL.
Mandeville turned himself into police custody Monday. His bond was set at $75,000. He is the third man arrested in connection with the investigation.
During the investigation, it was discovered the victim had died in the 200 block of Couevas Street in Biloxi but was taken to the location in Vancleave.
Biloxi police officers previously arrested 60-year-old John Williams Carrick of Biloxi and 45-year-old Jeffrey Tyler Witt of Ocean Springs on warrants for tampering with physical evidence on December 19, 2018.
Results of an autopsy revealed Tuberville died of natural causes. His vehicle had been removed from the Biloxi address and was later located in Ocean Springs. As a result, Witt faces an additional charge of felony motor vehicle taking.
Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain set Witt’s bond at $75,000 and Carrick’s bond at $5,000. They were taken to Harrison County jail.
This is an ongoing investigation.
