Warm air moving out of the area

Possible frost this week, rain this weekend

We are going to feel dropping temperatures over the next 12 to 24 hours. In fact, the coldest morning will be on Thursday with possible frost. Rain chances return for the weekend.

Tonight will be mostly clear and chilly with lows dropping in the 40s across South Mississippi. It will be breezy, too. The front pushing offshore will kick things up. In fact, there is a small craft advisory in effect on the water tonight into Wednesday morning.

Wednesday and Thursday will be gorgeous with plentiful sunshine and highs a little below average in the 50s. Both mornings will start out in the 30s. Some of the inland locations will be flirting with freezing temps and those areas could see a possible frost.

As another front approaches South Mississippi, we’ll see a slight warm up, more clouds and an increase in rain chances. Friday, we’ll have a slight chance for isolated showers ahead of a low pressure system tracking toward us. Our better chance for showers will be on Saturday. Temps will climb back into the 60s. After that systems passes, we’ll feel those temps drop once again into the 50s by Sunday.
