PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (PCHS) - The Pass Christian School District is pleased to announce its selection of Mr. Blake Pennock as our new Pirate Head Football Coach.

Coach Pennock is a 2005 graduate of Terry High School. He also attended Hinds Community College and The University of Southern Mississippi where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. He is currently working on his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership at Arkansas State University.

Coach Pennock began his coaching career at Oak Grove High School as an assistant coach during two of the school’s best years earning a South State Championship. From there he spent time at USM under Larry Fedora’s tempo system where he was part of the Golden Eagles 2011 Conference USA championship team that finished with a 12-2 record and a number 20 ranking in the final AP college football poll.

After this experience, Coach Pennock became offensive coordinator for Terry High School for one season. He coached at Madison Central the next season where the Jaguars finished 9-4 winning the Region 2 6A title.

Coach Pennock then moved to Clinton High School where from 2014 until the present time he helped lead Clinton to a 44-19 record including the 2016 6A State Championship.

Coach Pennock is married to Mrs. Brooke Pennock and has two children, son Bray (7), and daughter Averi (4).

Tim Ladner, Athletic Director, stated, “We believe Coach Blake Pennock is ready for his next step, that is to take the helm of the Pirate football program, setting the sails high, while guiding the Pirate football team.”

Pennock expressed his excitement about the move when he stated, “My family and I are excited to join The Pass family. There is a tradition of excellence in the Pass Christian School District. Our program will be a reflection of that excellence. We will bring an exciting brand of football to The Pass and put a product on the field that our community will be proud of. GO PIRATES!!!!!!!”
