BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - The WLOX First Alert Weather Team is tracking showers with pockets of heavier downpours moving through South Mississippi.
Rain will continue off and on into the evening hours. Latest hi-resolution model data suggest the heaviest downpours will begin to taper off between 8-10 PM.
While there was an initial concern for a few strong to severe storms. The Storm Prediction Center has dropped South Mississippi from the “marginal” risk. However, a heavy downpour with some gusty winds can not be ruled out.
How much rain
Rainfall totals are expected to range between 1-2 inches. Flash flooding may be an issue for low lying areas and spots that have poor drainage.
