Tonight is going to be a cold night in South Mississippi. We are going to see temperatures near freezing in the interior portions. Closer to the coast, temps will settle in the mid to upper 30s. We’ll have a mostly clear sky and light winds tonight.
Wednesday will be partly cloudy with increasing afternoon clouds. The winds will pick up out of the south. Highs will be comfortable in the low to mid 60s.
As another low pressure system tracks across the South, it will bring us rain on Thursday. The heaviest rain will start in the afternoon and last through much of the overnight hours. Depending on where the low tracks, we could see a few thunderstorms, but there is a very low risk for severe weather. The rain will be heavy at times, dropping one to three inches.
