OCEAN SPRINGS, MS (WLOX) - A man found guilty of setting up skimmers and cameras at an Ocean Springs credit union will spend the next three years in federal prison. Ricardo Arcanjo Ramos was also ordered to pay $25,087.50 in restitution to his victim.
Prosecutors say in July 2017, Ricardo Arcanjo Ramos, 37, and another man placed the skimmers on ATMs at a credit union. That enabled them to get information on 15 or more accounts from which they obtained money and transferred funds to two banks and a resort in Florida.
Both men were in the US illegally and the case was investigated by Homeland Security.
