A strong storm system will bring periods of rain to the Mississippi coast on Saturday.
Off and on showers are possible between 6 AM and Noon. Then rain, heavy at times with a few rumbles of thunder is expected between Noon and 6 PM.
A Flash Flood watch is in effect until 6 PM Saturday. Flooding, especially in areas that have poor drainage, could be an issue. Remember to never drive through flooded roads.
The threat for severe weather in South Mississippi has really decreased. Southeast Louisiana and areas over the water could see a one or two strong to severe storms with gusty winds and an isolated tornado Saturday afternoon.

Generally 1-3 inches with locally higher amounts are possible.
When will it be clear?
Rain is expected to end late Saturday evening into early Sunday morning.
